Our Trainers
Janelle Dorsey
Janelle has been training dogs for over 10 years, holding positions that have included Daycare/Kennel Manager, Vet Assistant, and Obedience Instructor. Additionally, Janelle has completed numerous training courses on canine handling and body language, as well as attending UB Mini-Vet school seminars. Some of Janelle’s affiliations and memberships are APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers), PCSA (Pet Care Services Association), Certified Pet Care Technician (CPCT), AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and is American Red Cross Certified.
Victoria Misuraca
Victoria is Dog Days of Buffalo’s Customer Service Manager. She is an ABKA certified Pet Care Technician who has been working with dogs and their human companions for over 4 years. Victoria apprenticed with Janelle Dorsey and has been training independently for about two years. Victoria currently teaches Puppy Kindergarten and About Town at Dog Days of Buffalo. She is also qualified to teach Advanced Obedience, as well as our Tricks class.
Rachel Smith
Rachel Smith, Dog Days of Buffalo’s Daycare Manager, has been training dogs independently for over 4 years. In addition to the numerous positions Rachel has held in the dog daycare industry, she has worked as an animal caretaker at a special care and maternity shelter assisting dogs with labor and delivery. Rachel is an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and has extensively researched canine nutrition, and the effects of poor nutrition on dogs. By continually expanding her knowledge base through attending seminars and training classes, Rachel continues to bring new ideas and innovative classes to Dog Days of Buffalo training program. Her most recent creation is our three levels of Nose Work and Tracking Class.
